We stopped by the Polish deli in Hochelaga, corner of Frontenac and Ontario in Montreal. I asked for 2 bags of pierogi in Polish, but the guy behind the counter didn’t understand, so he called over another clerk. She didn’t speak Polish either. Annie ended up ordering in French. The kicker: They had a sign in the window saying, in Polish only, “Zatrudnimy sprzedawczynie”.
